Platform Based SIS Integration

SIS Integration supports pulling Student Information System data from Workday Student into EMS. Benefits include:

  • Creates course room usage record.
  • Optimizes which rooms the courses go in.

SIS integration doesn’t support a sync back to your Student Information System from EMS.

Important!
Import a license before enabling SIS Integration in the EMS Platform Services Admin Portal.

Enable SIS Integration

To enable SIS Integration, you must have a license for EMS that includes SIS Cloud Integration.

To enable SIS integration:

  1. In the EMS Platform Services Admin portal, click the SIS Integration tab.
  2. Enter the username and password for your Workday Student RAAS endpoints.
  3. Enter the required URL's in the correct locations. For example:
    https://services1.myworkday.com/ccx/service/customreport2/<customername>/ISU_EMS/STUINT036_File_I_Rooms?format=json


    Each URL must have designated fields in the URL information.

  4. Click Enable SIS Integration.
  5. In Desktop Client, enable the system parameter Use Platform Services for connection to Student Information System.
