Configuration of EMS for Outlook – Microsoft 365

Admins must configure EMS for Google Calendar in the Desktop Client.

  1. In Settings, select Enable Integration to Microsoft Exchange.
  2. Select Enable EMS for Outlook.
  3. Set a unique conflict and rule violation status.

If you're an Everyday User trying to resolve a booking conflict, you may need to skip adding a room to your reservation in EMS for Outlook - Microsoft 365. You need to configure a TBD room that has a mailbox associated with it and one TBD room per building.

ClosedEnsure all Rooms Have Unique Mailboxes

You cannot use the same mailboxes for rooms in more than one EMS environment.

  1. An admin must create a room mailbox in your Exchange environment.

  2. In EMS Desktop Client, navigate to Configuration > Facilities > Rooms.
  3. Use the filter to display the room you want, then add email addresses to rooms.

  4. On the Exchange Integration tab, enter the room mailbox.

    Enter valid emails from the Exchange domain with which you are integrating EMS.

  5. Enable 2-way Exchange Room Integration.
